Launch deals are not all created equal
Every time Google drops a new Pixel, the same thing happens. Networks slap the word 'deal' on anything with a free pair of earbuds and call it a day. Some of it is spot on. A lot of it is just repackaged full price with a longer contract.
The Pixel 11 series is no different. You've got three handsets this time: the standard 11, the Pro, and the XL. The community over at HotUKDeals clocked this roundup early and it already has serious heat, which usually means there's at least something worth your attention buried in there.
Who should actually care
If you're already on a Pixel 7 or 8 and your contract is up, honestly, now is probably a reasonable time to look. Camera improvements on the Pixel line are usually real, not marketing fluff. If you're coming from a Pixel 9 though, I'd personally sit tight. The jump rarely justifies the cost this early.
SIM-free pricing tends to look painful upfront but often works out cheaper over 24 months if you pair it with a cheap SIM-only plan. Worth running the numbers before signing anything.
One reservation: launch window pricing is rarely the best you'll see. If you can wait six to eight weeks, prices on the standard model especially tend to soften a bit. The Pro and XL hold value longer, so those launch offers are comparatively more interesting right now.
Not half bad as a starting point for research, but don't rush.
