The case for buying boring things in bulk
Parcel tape is not interesting. I'll be upfront about that. But last Christmas, halfway through wrapping a pile of eBay sales, I ran out mid-box and ended up using a frankly embarrassing amount of Sellotape to compensate. Never again. Six rolls for under three quid is the kind of purchase that just quietly sorts your life out.
The iSOUL pack gives you 48mm width, which is proper wide, proper useful for anything bigger than a shoebox. Each roll is 66 metres. Do the maths and you've got nearly 400 metres of tape total. That's a lot of parcels.
Does it actually hold?
Honestly, yes. It's not some premium silent unwind situation, it screeches off the roll like most budget tape does. But it sticks well to cardboard, doesn't lift at the edges after a day or two, and holds up fine in a cold hallway or a damp garage. No complaints there.
Who this is for: anyone who ships stuff regularly on eBay or Vinted, small business owners packing orders at home, or just someone sensible enough to stock up before the next move.
Who it isn't for: if you need something quieter for an office environment or you're after coloured tape for labelling, look elsewhere.
The one reservation
The brand is fairly anonymous. No indication of where it's manufactured, no great backstory. But at this price point, that's par for the course, and the community heat it's picked up suggests people are actually happy with it. Sometimes a thing just works.
