The honeycomb still hits
There's something almost nostalgic about a Crunchie. Not in a forced, marketing sort of way. Just, you know, you bite into one and it's exactly what you expected, and somehow that's enough. The honeycomb shatters properly, leaves that caramel-bitter dust on your tongue, and the milk chocolate wraps it up without being too thick or too sweet. It's a simple bar doing a simple job very well.
I had one with a cup of tea last Tuesday afternoon and honestly, mate, it sorted me right out. Nothing fancy about it. That's the point.
Who this is actually for
If you're already buying Crunchies semi-regularly, this Subscribe & Save setup is a no-brainer. Four bars for just over a quid, recurring delivery, nothing to think about. Works out to roughly 26p per bar, which is not half bad compared to what corner shops charge for a single one.
That said, if you're the sort who forgets to cancel subscriptions, be a bit careful. Amazon S&S is easy enough to manage but it does require you to actually remember it exists.
One honest reservation
The 26.1g bars are the smaller format, not the full-size ones. So if you were expecting the big chunky version from the newsagent, you might feel slightly short-changed. Perfectly fine as a desk snack or a post-lunch treat, but it won't replace a proper-sized bar if that's what you're after.
Still, at this price, the value is spot on. Community heat of over 1,000 degrees on HotUKDeals suggests plenty of others agree.
